Our engagement story began in August when we set off on an unforgettable trip to Moorea, French Polynesia, for what turned out to be the most magical moment of our lives.
We spent our first day exploring the islands natural beauty before checking into our private villa. Our adventures really began the next morning when we went on a discovery dive at the famous Aquarium dive site (with Moorea Blue Diving). The vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters were breathtaking, and we knew we were in paradise.
That evening, we immersed ourselves in the local culture at the Tiki Village Cultural Center, where we experienced an authentic luau and watched an incredible live performance of traditional Polynesian dance. It was a perfect, unforgettable evening that set the mood for what was to come.
When we returned to our villa, Spencer dimmed the lights and led me to the terrace. The night sky was clear, with thousands of stars shimmering above us. In that moment, as we stood there taking in the beauty of the world around us, Spencer got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES! It was the most romantic, magical moment I could have ever imagined.
We spent the rest of the night together, watching shooting stars streak across the sky, feeling on top of the world as we celebrated our new journey together.
The next day, we went on the Moorea Miti Tour, which included snorkeling in the lagoon with stingrays and blacktip reef sharks, a cooking class where we learned to make ceviche, and even crafting hats from coconut leaves! They also showed us how to open coconuts!
Our adventures continued the following day with an incredible whale-watching tour. We were blessed with perfect weather and calm waters, and we even had the rare opportunity to swim with a majestic humpback whale — a moment of pure awe.
On our final day, we explored the Hilton Resort, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch by the lagoon and took in the breathtaking views from Toatea Lookout.
It was an amazing trip full of adventure, love, and memories that we’ll cherish forever — and the moment Spencer asked me to be his forever made it even more unforgettable.
